Dossier should be done being translated!

I got just a bit antsy the other day and emailed Nicole at Children's Hope to see if she thought our dossier could be done being translated...  She said yes!  She "thinks" that by now it would be done with the translation part and that it would be in the hands of ICBF.  Eventually, ICBF will review the entire dossier and will either approve us for a sibling group or request more information.  I'm hoping and praying that we will hear something around the middle of this month (which is coming up quick!).   Because we have requested a sibling group, where the oldest is up to 8 years and 11 months, this is looked at as special needs and the whole process is supposed to be expedited.

One of my prayers is that we will have our children by the end of this year - 2011.  I know that by God's grace this can happen.  We are also praying (and would appreciate your prayers for these also) that the children are being shown love and affection, that they will adapt well into our family, and that our entire new family will blend well together after we take a little while to get used to one another and form our new rolls and attachments to each other.

The rest of our children are doing really good.  They have been getting a lot of fresh air working in the garden this summer!  As for Lyric, she is settling in well.  She is sleeping really good at night, but she sure is a light sleeper!  The people at the orphanage were right about that :)  She communicates really well, and she is having fewer tantrums/meltdowns - and even then they don't last nearly as long as they used to (45 min).  According to my measurements, she has grown 1 1/2 inches since we brought her home in December.  We will go see the doctor in a couple of months for a check-up and get the official results then.

Thank you for all of your support and your prayers.  We really do appreciate it.

In His name,

Karen
